Getting ready to enjoy the nice long holiday weekend? Great! Some people enjoy taking care of their Christmas shopping on Thanksgiving weekend. I do too, but I tend to do it from home rather than tackling the craziness of Black Friday in the stores! Here's something you don't expect in Florida - it's Eustis on Ice! General admission is $10 per person and includes unlimited skating for the day and skate rental. They have a Sip n' Skate Pass option for $90 that includes 10 skate passes with skate rentals plus 10 drinks. You can use any number of your skate passes each day (meaning you can use them for a large group in one day or spread them out). Hours are usually 3-9 pm on Monday-Thursday, 3-10 pm on Friday, 10 am - 10 pm on Saturday, and 1-7 pm on Sunday. Holiday hours of 3-9 pm will be in effect on Thanksgiving Day. Guests will enjoy skating on real ice! Coin operated small lockers are available for $0.50 while skating.

If you want to get into the holiday spirit, check out Light Up Eustis from 5:00 - 9:00 pm in downtown Eustis! The ceremony begins at 6 pm. There will be pictures with Santa & Mrs. Claus (free photo and frame included), Dancer the Reindeer and Baby Donnie, a snow slide, live music, vendors, food, a holiday lights countdown, and the ice skating rink (which will be open from 3:00 - 10:00 pm). Tonight is the Leesburg Main Street Christmas Stroll from 6:00 - 9:00 pm. Leesburg will transform into a magical winter Christmas wonderland with real snow! You'll see Christmas light displays, enjoy live entertainment, and witness the lighting of the 24' high Magical Dancing Lights Christmas Tree with a synchronized choreographed Towne Square Display! There will be jugglers, a brass jazz band, hay rides, Uncle Donald's Farm Petting Zoo, face painting, stilt walkers, inflatable slides, kids games, and Santa.
Saturday, November 30, 2019:
Need something else to get you into the holiday spirit? Check out the 39th Annual Light Up Mount Dora from 4:30 - 6:30 pm in Donnelly Park. There will be live preshow music from 4:30 - 5:30 and a Christmas Show from 5:30 - 6:30. After the show, the Christmas tree lighting in Sunset Park will take place. This event is free and is open to the public. Mount Dora will be lit up with over 2 million lights!
